Brampton Indie Comics & Zines (BICZ) is a new collective that celebrates local indie comics, zines, and art. BICZ believes in accessible and DIY self-publishing, hands-on creation, and collaboration, all of which are more necessary than ever in the current landscape of economic and social uncertainty, AI, and isolation. By providing a fun and safe space to learn, create, and collaborate with one another, BICZ hopes to foster Brampton’s indie comics and zines community.
CollaborativeWorkshops & Events
We host collaborative comics and zine making jams where attendees socialize, collaborate, draw, and write together. All materials will be provided but attendees are welcome to bring their own kits too! Visit our Eventbrite to sign up for upcoming events.
Hands-on, DIY, self-publishing
The creation of the art and text is enjoyable, but the process of printing, folding, cutting, stapling, or even stitching small zines and comics together is an important part of the process. Seeing the final product is part and parcel of indie comics and zines. We can teach this and more! So, if you’re looking for an artist to teach a comic workshop or art workshop for your school or event, contact us!
